Who we are
salonsecrets.com.au is operated by Directory.com.au Pty Ltd (ABN 68 090 816 461) ("we", "us"). We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
When you use the Ask a Question form we collect the name, email address and message you provide, together with the IP address and browser details of the request. We use this to reply to you and to protect the form from abuse.
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are read. It sets cookies and records anonymised usage data such as pages viewed, device type and approximate location. We do not use advertising features.
Our hosting and content delivery providers keep standard server logs (IP address, requested URL, time, browser) for security and performance. These are retained for a limited period and then deleted.
The "Find your routine" quiz and site search run entirely in your browser; nothing you enter is sent to us.
How we use and share it
We use your details only to answer your question, to improve the site and to keep it secure. We do not sell personal information and we do not send marketing email.
Information is stored with Australian and overseas service providers (web hosting, email delivery, analytics and content delivery). Where data leaves Australia, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
We will disclose information if required by law.
Cookies
Essential cookies are not used for browsing the site. Analytics cookies are set by Google Analytics; you can block them with your browser settings or a content blocker without affecting the site.
Access, correction and complaints
You can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your form submissions, by using the Ask a Question page.
If you believe we have mishandled your information, contact us first. If you are not satisfied with our response you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
